Hadlow is an historian with the Oregon Department of Transportation and author of Elegant Arches\, Soaring Spans: C.B. McCullough\, Oregon's Master Bridge Builder. Hadlow has also written entries for the Oregon Encyclopedia including topics on the Columbia River Highway\, the Rogue River Bridge\, and the Oregon Coast Highway. Hadlow received his Ph.D. in American History and Public History from Washington State University in 1993.
