DESCRIPTION:Join us for our April Public Policy meeting where our guest speakers will present on the proposed Metro South Recycling & Transfer Center Project (Jennifer Street in Clackamas) and NW Natural Gas Carbonization Project Updates.\n\n\n\n12:00-12:30pm\n\nMETRO: Estee Segal\, AICP (she/her) Metro South New Facility\, Project Manager Metro | Waste Prevention and Environmental Services (WPES)\n\nThe Metro South Transfer Station in Oregon City can no longer accommodate the region's\n\ngrowing garbage and recycling needs. Because of this\, Metro has been working to identify\n\npossible locations\, one being a 25.93 acre parcel on SE Jennifer Street in Clackamas.\n\nIn late November 2020\, Metro signed a purchase and sale agreement ("purchase option") to acquire a property in northern Clackamas County. We will be delving into the facts of the purchase\, project scope and next steps. Additionally\, you'll learn more about the interconnectedness of both grids\, and what they actually do and when.\n\n\n\n1:00-1:30pm \n\nMetro Council President Lynn Peterson will be presenting on Metro's Regional goals for 2021.
