The amount of water required for shale gas extraction is one of the most important issues the industry is actively seeking to address. The industry is working with regulators and environmental organizations to explore innovative methods to reduce water use and waste water.\n\n\n\n2) Jonathan Coney\, Partnership Specialist - Oregon Community Partnership & Engagement Program  U.S. Census Bureau will present on: "The Role of the Decennial Census in the Geographic Distribution of Federal Funds (in Oregon).  How the data from the 2020 census will guide the distribution of funding at the state level and how the census could also affect another Congressional seat\, depending on the final results.\n\n\n\nBrown bag lunch event.
