The Christmas Giving Breakfast is an annual event held in early December. This event is a celebration of the holiday season and a way for Chamber members to give back to our community. Volunteers gather over 100 donations from members and partner organizations which are raffled off the morning of the event generating thousands of dollars to gift. Over 200 guests enjoy a wonderful breakfast, gifting, comradery and a visit from Santa and his Elves!
This year's recipient is Pink Sistas!
Pink Sistas, a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit founded in 2012 with a mission to inspire women facing breast cancer through relaxing, loving, supportive and fun No-Cost retreats.
The founder, Deb Hart, created Pink Sistas after her own journey with breast cancer made her keenly aware of the need for women to have a space where they could reconnect with themselves and others, away from the pressures of treatment and recovery.
Each year, we host no-cost day retreats on the Columbia River and at Kah-Nee-Ta Springs as well as three-day healing retreats every spring. These special gatherings offer yoga, hiking, arts and crafts, and most importantly, a supportive sisterhood. We’ve seen first-hand how these experiences help women rediscover joy and inner peace.
In addition to our local programs, Pink Sistas now has traveled to rural Guatemala in 2024 and Peru in 2025, where we educate women in underserved communities on breast health and self-examination —reaching over 200 individuals per trip with life-saving information. These mission trips are fully funded and sponsored by one generous individual, ensuring no resources are taken away from the local women we serve.
We also believe deeply in the healing power of storytelling. Through our published collection of four books, women from across the country share their personal journeys, inspiring others and building connection through shared experience.
We’re proud to share that 100% of donations go directly to our retreats, supporting the local women we serve. Pink Sistas has no paid staff and receives no federal funding—everything we do is powered by volunteers and sustained by the generosity of community supporters like you.
