Cognitive Stimulation Workshop by Dr. Rob Winningham, Professor of Behavioral Sciences at Western Oregon University. Attendees will learn practical ways adults can increase their level of brain stimulation thereby decreasing their chances of developing memory problems. Participants will also learn about the psychology of aging, including depression, apathy, types of dementia and the causes of memory problems; valuable techniques for working with older adults and ways to motivate to participate in activities and therapy.
Although the two-day workshop is designed for professionals working with seniors at all levels of cognitive impairment, it is open to the public -- to anyone interested in knowing more about memory loss and retention.
