Clackamas County Commissioners will hold their final town hall meeting of 2016 on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Rock Creek Middle School in Happy Valley starting at 6 p.m. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. This event is an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions directly to Clackamas County Commissioners. Discussion will focus on the two ballot measures proposed by Commissioners for the November election, which asks Clackamas County voters to decide on a fuel tax for county road repair and maintenance; and a sales tax on marijuana. More on these measures can be found on the county’s Elections webpage. Commissioners hold town hall meetings quarterly in different county communities and invite the public to ask questions about current issues. These town halls provide residents with accessibility to their commissioners, which helps to Build Public Trust through Good Government, a priority of Performance Clackamas, the county’s strategic plan.
