    About Us

In 1957, our journey began as CLACKCO Federal Credit Union, serving county, municipal, state, and federal employees in Clackamas County. Our membership was defined by a ''common bond,'' whether through employment, industry, or residence. The merger with Milwaukie Community Credit Union in 1984 transformed us into Clackamas Federal Credit Union.

In 2003, a charter change broadened our horizons, allowing us to serve anyone residing, working, worshiping, or attending school in Clackamas County, sparking growth with new branches across the region. Further expansion in 2021 encompassed Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Washington, and Yamhill counties, endorsed by the National Credit Union Administration upon demonstrating an unmet need in these areas.

2022 marked a significant shift as we transitioned to Embold Credit Union, reinforcing our dedication to the entire service region. This name change coincided with our pursuit of new branch locations, continuing our unwavering focus on serving our members and communities, a commitment that remains at the heart of our identity.
