The Women in Leadership & Management Academy program runs January through June 2024. One day per month and this course is limited to 24 adult students seeking to expand their management and leadership skillset.
The WILMA Academy provides managers, leaders and emerging leaders with the opportunity to learn and practice interpersonal skills they will use every day. The course teaches leaders the interaction essentials they need to handle the variety of challenges and opportunities encountered every day in the workplace and beyond.
Participants will earn CEU (continuing education credits).
Timeline – 2024 Training Schedule
Each class will consist of in-person or virtual instructional hours, followed by a student Q&A/coaching hour. Instruction will start at 8:00am and run until 12:30pm; 12:30-1:00 is lunch; 1:00-2:00 is available for coaching by the instructor. One exception: the January class is 6 hours of instruction, followed by 1 hour of coaching.
January 18 -Authentic Strengths-based Leadership (6 hours + 1 hr coaching) - Harmony Campus
February 15 -Communication for Leaders (4.5 hours + 1 hr coaching) - Zoom
March 21 -Coaching & Performance Management (4.5 hours+ 1 hr coaching) – Zoom
April 18 -Delegation & Development (4.5 hours+ 1 hr coaching) – Zoom
May 16 -Conflict Management (4.5 hours+ 1 hr coaching) – Zoom
June 20 -Creating Shared Goals (4.5 hours+ 1 hr coaching) – Harmony Campus
Class size limited to 24 students. Men are encouraged to attend.
The first and final session will take place at the CCC Harmony Campus. Sessions 2-5 will be delivered via Zoom. Meals for Sessions 1 & 6 to be provided by North Clackamas Chamber.
The WILMA Academy is State certified. Attendees can earn 2.7 CEUs, depending upon full participation and attendance. This program is offered in partnership between Clackamas Community College and the North Clackamas Chamber of Commerce.
Course cost is $675 per student. This covers course materials and instructor costs.
