Community Impact Week
Come join us, and hundreds of your neighbors, in creating lasting impact across our region, growing yourself and your community through rewarding volunteer work! Hands On Greater Portland, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette’s volunteer program, is organizing the 5th Annual Community Impact Week from October 6-10, 2026. This signature volunteer event features over 30 projects across the Portland metro and Vancouver. Community Impact Week offers meaningful opportunities for individuals, groups and companies to join together in hands-on volunteer projects that deliver real benefits to many local nonprofits. From planting community gardens to repairing children’s books to organizing clothes closets, there are a wide variety of projects throughout Community Impact Week to get involved. We believe that doing good transforms our community and each of us individually. This belief comes alive when we connect volunteers with meaningful ways to help. You can participate through volunteering, sponsorship, or sharing this information with your community.
