Congressional Candidate Forum
Join us at this Congressional Candidate Forum to hear from U.S. Congressman Kurt Schrader (D) and his opponent, Colm Willis (R) who are running for Oregon's 5th Congressional District in November.
Congressman Kurt Schrader is currently serving his fourth term in the United States House of Representatives. Congressman Schrader currently serves as a member of the exclusive House Committee on Energy and Commerce (E&C). Prior to joining E&C, Congressman Schrader served on the House Committee on Agriculture, where he served on the Farm Bill Conference Committee that successfully passed a five year farm bill, the House Committee on Small Business and House Budget Committee. In the 114th Congress, Congressman Schrader will serve on the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health and the Subcommittee on Environment and the Economy.
Colm Willis is a native Oregonian. He is a husband, a father of two girls and a small business attorney in Stayton, Oregon. Colm now represents individuals, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs in the Willamette Valley. A lifelong Republican, Colm is running for office because he feels that for too long political and business leaders have used their power to benefit themselves at the expense of working families. As a result of their maneuvering, health insurance costs are rising, taxes are hitting regular people harder, childcare and education are become prohibitively expensive, and decent paying jobs are getting harder to find.
This event is co-hosted by the North Clackamas and Canby Chambers of Commerce and Clackamas County Business Alliance.
Registration required, full breakfast provided.
