Dougy Center: Focus on Hope Luncheon

In May of 2016, the Cervantes family received two pieces of life-changing news: Miguel would be starring as Alexander Hamilton in the Chicago production of the hit Broadway musical and their seven-month-old daughter, Adelaide, had a severe form of epilepsy.

Over the next three years, the Cervantes family navigated life mixing hospital stays with black-tie galas and seizures with sold out performances. After years of trying every available treatment, Adelaide died from complications of epilepsy and a neurodegenerative disorder five days shy of her fourth birthday. Through this experience, Kelly and Miguel have dedicated their time to helping other families navigate medically-complex caregiving, hospice, and grief.

This year, we're introducing new ticket options that create additional opportunities to support Dougy Center while preserving our long-standing commitment to accessibility. Offering a no-cost ticket remains important to us because we believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in this event.
