Fundraiser for Orphan Relief & Rescue
Canby wood turner, Mel Borg will be exhibiting his work for the first time at Caswell Gallery. An artist for 30 years, his work has never been showcased in a public setting. He will be exhibiting dozens of pieces, all of which will be available for sale to benefit Orphan Relief and Rescue. 50% of proceeds from the sales of Mel Borg's work, through Caswell Gallery, will be donated to Orphan Relief and Rescue to build a Transition Center for the care of orphaned, abandoned and abused children in Liberia, West Africa. For years Mel Borg has been a devoted volunteer for at risk children's causes. The Clackamas County Peace Officers' Benevolent Foundation is partnering with Rip Caswell on behalf of Orphan Relief and Rescue. Caswell and the Clackamas County Peace Officers' Benevolent Foundation have worked together on several past projects. Refreshments and wine will be served. Live music will be provided by guitar and vocalist, Bryan Arakelian. The Gallery will also be showing the fine art black and white photography by Rod Cartasegna.
