Portland's only Veterans Day parade started in 1974. Vernon E. Ross, founded this parade to honor all veterans, past and present, living and deceased. The Historical Outreach Foundation wants you to join them at the Portland Veterans' Day parade. Brigadier General James B. Thayer, who the Oregon Military Museum is named after, will be the grand Marshal, and the Foundation will also have a booth at the parade site.
