Exceed Enterprises, a nonprofit that provides vocational and personal development services for people with disabilities, will host its annual fundraiser on April 30, 2016 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Portland to benefit the more than 200 adults and students that we serve. Exceed is selling 1,000 raffle tickets for a 55" big screen TV, BluRay and Surround Sound. Funds collected from the raffle will go toward the purchase of a new 14-passenger bus with a wheelchair lift. The winner will be announced at the Gala. If the winner is present at the Gala they receive one-year subscription to Netflix! At the April Gala, guests will enjoy a social hour, dinner and stories about the significant difference Exceed has made in the lives of the people we serve. Tickets are $60 per person and $500 per table. Tom Grant is providing entertainment and will be accompanied by Rachel Lee who has Down syndrome and plays the piano. Karen Gaffney is the featured speaker. Karen has Down syndrome and is President of a non-profit organization dedicated to championing the journey to full inclusion in families, schools, the workplace and the community for people with developmental disabilities. The event will feature an Olympic theme in recognition of the summer Olympics starting in August 2016. Glenn Hadduck will facilitate an oral auction and attendees can also participate in a silent auction and help Exceed reach its goal of $150,000. A short video presentation on Exceed?s partnership with Northwest Fourslide will be shown and CEO David Wunderlin will share a few words about the direction Exceed Enterprises is headed.
