Virtual Public School Offers Information Session in Clackamas July 24th
Parents and students looking for fewer distractions, greater flexibility, more one-on-one time with teachers, and a personalized learning plan are invited to attend a free in-person Information Session in Clackamas Tuesday July 24th. Enrollment for the 2018-19 school year is now under way at Oregon Connections Academy (ORCA), one of the state’s first full-time, tuition-free virtual public charter schools. ORCA serves students in kindergarten through 12th grade who reside anywhere in Oregon, offering a flexible learning option to accommodate the needs of the modern student. Parents and students are encouraged to attend one of the in-person or online information sessions to learn more about Oregon Connections Academy and virtual education. Families will meet with ORCA staff to hear program details, explore curriculum, and learn how to enroll. Other topics include: How teachers interact with students in a virtual setting, personalized learning, socialization, the role of the parent or other Learning Coach, and use of technology.
