You’ve got questions; we’ve got answers. This session will answer the most common questions employers (and employees) have about the impact the legalization of marijuana has on the workplace.
- A general overview of how most employers are approaching this change
- What to evaluate in making a decision about what is appropriate for your workplace
- Updates to your drug and alcohol policy
- Key issues for supervisors, including how to respond to employee questions
- What to communicate to employees
- Key issues such as testing, recruitment and hiring, employee misinformation, federal regulations, workers compensation, and other insurance issues
Speaker—Ryan Orr, JD from Cascade Employers Association
Ryan brings his experience as an employment law attorney and administrative law judge to assist employers navigate the complex and ever-changing waters of employment law through consulting and training. Focusing on some of the most common compliance issues as well as the foundations of human resources such as employee handbooks, job descriptions, employee supervision handbooks, discipline, documentation, performance management, HR assessments and investigations.
