The Metro South Transfer Station in Oregon City can no longer accommodate the region’s
growing garbage and recycling needs. Because of this, Metro has been working to identify
possible locations, one being a 25.93 acre parcel on SE Jennifer Street in Clackamas.
In late November 2020, Metro signed a purchase and sale agreement (“purchase option”) to acquire a property in northern Clackamas County. We will be delving into the facts of the purchase, project scope and next steps. (PSA Announcement

will help us understand what the gas system does, what their carbon foot print truly is and what they are doing to decrease that foot print, proactively and what they are doing to work with federal, state and local officials around energy efficiency and emissions reduction. Additionally, you’ll learn more about the interconnectedness of both grids, and what they actually do and when.
Metro Council President Lynn Peterson will be presenting on Metro's Regional goals for 2021.
