About
Drive Away Hunger (DAH) is an enterprise business and fundraising program operated by the Portland Rescue Mission. For over 20 years, this venture ministry has accepted donated vehicles and reconditioned them into quality, low-cost transportation. The proceeds of the reconditioned vehicles sold go directly back to Portland Rescue Mission, which contributes to funding meals, shelter, and hope for those we serve. Additionally, DAH has become a significant site for vocational training and relevant job experience for participants in our New Life Ministry long-term addiction recovery programs. As an Oregon Auto Dealer, program participants can work in a real-life business setting, observing and being involved in conducting actual business.
